 ABOUT:

Hello and welcome to my blog! Every week I will be posting about easy and accessable ways you can get involved with upcycling. While introducing you to local shops, at home projects, and affortable upcycled buying options I'll let you know about all the ways you will be saving the planet one piece of "trash" at a time.     â€‹

Inspiration?

This is my second quarter attending the University of California Santa Barbara so its fair to say I had been feeling home sick . Luckily I got the chance to go visit my family over christmas break. Even though we said we would keep the gifts to a minimal this year, lets just say I had to sit on my suitcase to get it closed and still had to leave some things behind. My mom always spoils my sisters and I beyond belief and this year was no different. One gift in particular did more than just expand my jewelry collection. I remember opening the dainty box as gently as I could. My sisters opened their boxes at the same time and revealed she had bought us all beautiful mermaid rings. Attached was a note where the artist explained the rings had been created from recycled and repurposed glass. As I was sitting in my room a couple of weeks later searching for a blog topic, that same ring sitting on my side table instantly sparked the foundation for this blog.
